When I said to my mom, "Mumma, I'll come back in just four hours," she glared at me and said, "Just four hours? Isn't that too soon? Why don't you just come tomorrow? That would be better. I'll tell your dad that his beloved daughter didn't come home all day today." Hearing this, I couldn't help but smile a little, and I shook my head slightly to say no. "Oh, my loving mom, the reason I said I'd be back so late is because I want to go see some dear children. It's Wednesday today, so they must all be waiting for me. I'll come back soon, have lunch, and then head to the office." Just then, my dad walked in and overheard the conversation. He said, "Oh, so my daughter is going to the orphanage?" I smiled at him and nodded. Then I quickly ran over to him and gave him a big hug. "Dad, please explain to mom that I'm your beloved daughter, and these days, she's scolding me a lot," I said with mock anger, pouting. Dad chuckled softly and said, "Yes, I'll tell her not to say anything to my daughter." At that moment, a sarcastic voice chimed in, saying, "Yes, it's you who is spoiling your daughter." I turned to dad and said, "See, see, she's saying that to you!" We all laughed softly, and dad placed his hand on my head and said, "Take care, and call me once you reach there." I nodded in agreement. Night had started to fall, but Aarohi neither came home for lunch nor called. It was about to be 10 PM. What had happened to Aarohi? Was she compelled by something?
